Sakamoto
Born in 1953 in Seattle, Washington, Eddie Sakamoto began his design training as a graphic artist, with a special concentration in architecture and industrial design. His path changed in the mid-1970's with a momentous introduction to the jewelry industry. Eddie soon founded Concept 1, laying the ground work for what would, in 1995, become Sakamoto.
Eddie's work combines his early interest in architecture with sculptural elements and a focus on simplicity. His design accolades include the "New Designer of the Year" Award in 1986, "Pacific Jewelry Show's Best Overall Continuity" Award in 1993, and the "International Pearl Association" Award, which he received in 1995. Eddie currently resides in Redondo Beach, California, with his wife and twins Cole and Kiana, who provide plenty of inspiration.
